First Look Design is a graphic design firm that is passionate about creating visual solutions. We provide creative services that range from web design to package design, but our main goal with any project is to communicate effectively. We believe in the power of relationships, whether it be visual relationships, or the relationships we develop with our clients. We believe that the better we know our clients the better the design solutions will be.

We are designers from Sacramento California who believe in creating lasting solutions for our clients. One thing we enjoy about being designers is that we are fortunate enough to be a part of our clients passions. We consider it an honor to be a part of their journey. What we do best is translate their vision into visuals that are fused with their values. Those visual designs act as the face and voice of their company and speak effectively to the respective audience. How we work
Plan
Research. Organize. Define.
At this stage we gather all the requirements for the project and start to setup the design problem. Write a creative brief, ask questions, brainstorm and setup project benchmarks.
Design
Sketch. Concepts. Inventory.
For the first time we start visualizing our solution and we begin to see the potential. We must put our ideas down on paper, so we can see the various paths to the solution. We take an inventory of what we have done and also revisit our creative brief to verify that we are on task. Many aspects of the design solution are considered at this phase. In order to see the big picture we must storyboard and generate all the pieces. We consider typography, color palette, medium, content, voice, GRID, contrast, intent, proportion and more.
Production
Mock-ups. Development. Implementation.
Before this stage we have made decisions of which concepts to pursue. We start to see a balance of the many elements in the design. We edit, revisit, critique, push and pull until the solution is refined to perfectly fit the client's needs.
